Professor John Willinsky, Director of the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), is interviewed on the occasion of his participation as keynote speaker in the conference "Open Scholarly Communication in Europe: Addressing the coordination challenge", organised by the OPERAS network. Prof. Willinsky provides an overview of important issues related to the major transitions occurring in scholarly communication, shares his insightful views on the potential of Open Access as a sustainable model for social and scientific advancement, and describes PKP's vision and long term strategy.
